3MT Competition

The “Three Minute Thesis” (3MT) Competition

The Temple University Graduate School hosts an annual 3MT Competition. This competition allows graduate students from the schools and colleges to share a three-minute version of their research with a lay audience. Participating students compete for scholarship awards from the Graduate School.

In preparation for the competition, participating students engage in several professional development seminars. These seminars include professional communication training and mock presentations. The 3MT Competition at Temple University helps doctoral students hone their communication skills and connect with graduate students across the institution. Temple’s first-prize winner moves on to compete at the Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools’ 3MT Competition.
