All Temple University graduate programs require a completed application form, a statement of goals, and one certified copy of official transcripts from every college and university attended, including Temple University. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is ordinarily required for admissions consideration. However, requirements for some programs may vary.
Please note that applications typically are not reviewed until they are complete, which requires receipt of all required credentials and payment of the application fee. Applications may be submitted to more than one program, but no student may pursue two degrees simultaneously, except for those admitted to university-approved dual degree programs.

1. Research your graduate degree program.
Be sure you have the information you need for the application process. You can find application deadlines and evaluation criteria in the Graduate Bulletin.
You can also visit your specific degree program’s Graduate Bulletin and view the “Contacts” page to determine how and where to deliver supporting documents. You will also find a link to the school or college website where you can review the program's admissions process. All application materials, including portfolios and exhibits, become the property of Temple University and will not be copied, forwarded to another institution or returned.
Note: Application deadlines vary by school or college and by degree program. You must verify fall, spring or summer term application deadlines as specified in the degree program’s Graduate Bulletin.
2. Take a standardized test.
If required by your degree program of choice, take a standardized test of scholastic aptitude, such as the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) (general and/or subject) or the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). No photocopies of score reports for any standardized test will be accepted. Scores must be reported by the testing service within five years of your test date. Submission of scores should follow the requirements below.
- For the GRE, scores should be sent electronically from Educational Testing Service to institution code 2906, except for the College of Public Health and the College of Science and Technology. For College of Public Health degree programs, please refer to your specific program’s application instructions. The code for the College of Science and Technology is 4815.
- For the GMAT, scores should be sent electronically from GMAC to institution code 2906.
